Oliver Wendell Holmes once said, ‘The morning cup of coffee has an exhilaration about it which the cheering influence of the afternoon or evening cup of tea cannot be expected to reproduce.’ If you’re a coffee person like me then you’re going to love this. I’m going to show you a new way to change up your coffee in the morning by adding a special (and one of my favorites) ingredient—Coconuts! As an avid coffee drinker, this combination of coconut and coffee is definitely something that helps me kickstart any morning or busy day. Not only is it delicious, you can also skip out on the added creamer or sugar if you’d like. The choice is yours 🙂

2 tablespoon of Starbucks Pike Place Roast Ground Coffee
1 tablespoon of coconut flakes
First, add 2 tbsp of coffee beans and 1 tbsp of coconut flakes to your grinder. You can also add in more coconut flakes if you’d like.
Grind them together. If you want, you can also add in dried fruits or nuts.
Process everything until it’s a nice medium grind.
Heat up your water.
Scoop up all of the coffee grind and add it to your coffee filter.
Pour the hot water into the coffee grind. Once the brew is complete, remove the filter.
Lastly, sprinkle in a little bit of salt and add in your choice of creamer. Trust me, it sounds a bit odd but makes a world of difference. As for creamer, almond milk is my favorite!
