DIY Cute Minion & Emoji Easter Eggs

Emoji-Minion-eggs

Hey guys! Regardless if you celebrate Easter or not this is a fun and quick DIY for all who simply want to put a smile on someone’s face. If you follow me then you probably already know, but I love using emojis and I use them all the time. Previously, I did an Emoji Pillow tutorial on which you can find here, but I thought that I could also use emojis to decorate eggs! I also think the Minions from Despicable Me are so cute. I’m excited for the upcoming Minion movie.

This Easter DIY is perfect for everyone in the family to do at the same time! You can do this with hardboiled eggs as well, but if you are Vegetarian of Vegan, no worries, you can use plastic eggs! This is also perfect as an after Easter Egg hunt activity to do after taking the treats out of all the plastic eggs!

Instructions

1.) Prime and paint the eggs with a bright yellow. You can use either craft paint or spray paint. If you are using hardboiled eggs, you can dip the eggs into yellow food coloring. Make sure to wait for the paint to dry for 30-60 minutes before applying the second layer.

2.) For the Minions, paint the lower half of the egg with a navy blue. I set the egg upside down on a bottle cap to let it dry.

3.) Once the paint is dry, use a sharpie to make a thick black line around the top half of the egg. Then draw on the mouth and eyebrows.

4.) Glue on a googly eye. If you don’t have one, you can also just paint on an eyeball.

5.) For the Emojis, look at an image for guidance. Use a sharpie to draw in the face, and then paint in the details.
