Repurposed Tea Cup Candles: 1 Minute DIY

Hey everyone! As you all know by now, I love, love, love tea and candles, so this DIY combines my two favorite things into adorable room decorations.  Are you a candle fiend like me?  If you are like me, you probably have a bunch of half burnt or almost fully burnt candle remnants in your cabinet.  This DIY is a great way to repurpose your old candles and to use those vintage teacups that are just collecting dust in the cupboard. These DIY teacup candles make incredibly cute home decor that provides mood lighting and makes your room smell good.  Let’s get started with this DIY!

Candle Wax (You can use candle melts or repurpose old candles)

Tea Cups

Candle Wicks

1.) Hot glue the wick to the bottom of the cup.

2.) Pour in the melted candle wax. You can use a popsicle stick or a ruler to keep the wick in place and upright while pouring in the hot wax. If you are making multiple layers of wax, wait for the first layer to completely cool before adding in the next layer.  Make sure the color you want to be on top is poured last.  The reason for multiple layers, even with an opaque tea cup is to prevent fragrances and colors from running together and making a potentially funky combination.

3.) Trim the wick.

And that’s it! Easy right?

Thanks for reading this super easy one minute DIY!  I will be making more of these if you like them, but comment below so that I know you enjoy a short and sweet DIY project!
