Weekend Trip – Upstate New York

06.02.10
Hey Everyone! How’s your summer coming along? Sorry I’ve been a bit M.I.A lately. These past few days when I haven’t been vlogging or blogging I’ve been pretty much cleaning my apartment. It’s amazing how much trash a person has. I pulled out loads and loads of junk to donate or throw out.

Cleaning really reminds me how fortunate I am. After watching a show called “Take Aways” from Planet Green, it really makes me want to live more frugal. It sounds ironic knowing that this blog is dedicated to fashion and beauty. I do feel very blessed to be able to enjoy my hobby and hopefully I can make this hobby more meaningful.

On another note I’ve also been on a mini trip away from home. My hubby, his brother, Vince, and I went to upstate New York around Albany. We thought we try out some diamond mining, cave exploring, and a little city touring. Albany is a really dead town. Rarely will you see people walking around. The city is really charming but you can tell it’s been abandon, so sad. Any who we still had fun… as long as you make it fun! Here are some pics from our mini vaca ^_^

First 3 photos, we stop in Troy for some Vegan Treats ^_^

Albany, NY the city that went to sleep  -_- We didn’t hang out here, just stayed at the hotel.
Photos my hubby took in Howe’s Cave, 45 minutes from our hotel.
It was around 50 degree cold in the cave!
A dress down side of me!
Last day! We went Diamond Mining… this is called a Herkimer Diamond (quartz)

  1. I am from Upstate New York. Shocking to see people actually still come to visit our little cities/towns. Howe’s Cave is a pretty neat little place though. I would suggest checking out the Adirondacks as well and of course the Niagara falls. We have hidden gems, you just have to know where to look 🙂
